We're back on with The Salon this month! After our wintery break, we are finally returning to the KS living room.
So, what is The Salon?
The Salon is a free, monthly meeting for anyone interested in art and culture. We create a space for exchange and learning in the style of an art salon, where local Berlin artists are given a platform to share the processes behind their artistic projects, and where participants can explore a range of topics and concerns related to contemporary art practice.
Who are this month's artists?
Natalia Irina Roman is an artist, curator and city researcher based in Berlin since 2006. Currently, Roman teaches classes on regional trains at the Bauhaus University Weimar, which focus on the aesthetic of train travel and the potential of disused railway properties.
Christina Sarli is a Greek artist based in Berlin. Through her varied artistic practice, which includes painting, sculpture, digital media and XR, Sarli repurposes the city's capita mortua - literally 'worthless remains' or unwanted items and knowledge.
Katharina Kamph is a visual artist living and working in Berlin. Her artwork is object-related with a strong affection for paper. Currently, Kamph's work leaves the exhibition space for public space and the urban environment.
