The past year has been very challenging for Kulturschöpfer, as our regular programming, workshops and residency program, could not happen as planned.

Between 2020 and 2022, the building owner increased our rent by 52%, and although we did increase our rental prices, we did not feel we could raise our rents by that full amount. Our initial plan was to cover the gap by increasing private rentals, charging for our artist residencies, and grant funding. Still, because of Covid, we received much less extra income than planned (and our desks were also not fully rented out, to add to the financial difficulties.). However, it has been a significant struggle for us to cover costs, rent, utilities, office manager, and services (ex., Coffee, water, etc.).

This situation caused a huge loss not only for you, but also for us, in terms of opportunities to learn from one another, to live new adventures and to inspire each other. For us, it was, and still is, an economic struggle to carry on our activities.

How can you help us?

Here are different ways you can financially support KS:
