10 Year Reflection

10 Year Reflection

I sit here again, trying to write a ten-year reflection about KS. It should be an easy task.  So much has occurred in the past ten years that I thought the challenge would be when to stop writing, not necessarily where to begin.  I originally wanted this blog to be finished and posted last Wednesday, which would have been the 10-day countdown to the 10th anniversary; it would have been pretty cool.  However, …

Art of Integration-How Children live in Community

Art of Integration-How Children live in Community

Since our motto is that everybody can become a culture maker, we wanted to help even the smallest ones among us become cultural creators themselves. KS collaborated with lovely artists from the initiative „Technai" to help implement creative projects in three different schools throughout Friedrichshain and Lichtenberg. This initiative started in the spring of 2020. KS wants to make sure that everyone can participate in artistic and cultural activities, regardless of age, in order to create an open environment where equality and integration are on the daily agenda. The artistic workshops within the schools showed us how integration can be handled if we are collaborating creatively and are ready to face challenges together. We have a new post on our blog, in which we are reviewing our experiences during those amazing school projects. Feel free to check it out and see how even the little ones have started to become integration masters.
